Happy Halloween! If your city is expecting a 100% chance of rain today like ours, then maybe Halloween is already in your rearview mirror. While the rest of the country is gearing up for a spooktacular evening, my eyes are already set on holiday cheer and cozy patterned knits. Today’s roundup includes twenty patterned sweaters under $50 that will leave you smilin’ and stylin’.
Pattern On Trend Sweaters
one: Pull on over a chambray shirt to give this short and boxy sweater a little length. If you’re feeling ballsy, pair with some winter white denim.
two: a herringbone vest, scarf, skinny jeans, and riding boots will be a chic and sweet ensemble.
three: This v-neck leopard would be the ultimate date night look when paired with a velvet or leather skirt. A layered gold necklace and some red heels and you’ll definitely bring the heat.
four: Tucked in all the way, a front tuck or letting it all hang loose, this sweater is so cute and can go with anything from black, dark wash, light wash, or colored denim. I’m snagging it for myself.
Polka Dot Sweaters
one: I would love to see this pom-pom polka dot over a patterned skirt for the ultimate in texture and pattern play. Give plaid, houndstooth, floral or just a plain a-line try!
two: throw this metallic dot sweater on over a white or gem-tone button down [I’m always a fan of pink!].
three: if this sweater is sold out now, just wait. It’ll be back! Layer it over a collared shirt with a print [like stripes or plaid]. Prepsters can pair with a medium washed skinny, but for an edgier look, I suggest a semi-distressed boyfriend jean.
four: pop on your cutest pom winter hat, a big bubble vest, some duck boots, and leggings for the ultimate cozy look.
ONE || TWO || THREE || FOUR
one: a dark bootcut denim and a faux leather moto jacket will give this peppy sweater some edge. My favorite faux leather jacket is Express, but nearly sold out!
two: a basic staple for work or play. Pair with your favorite denim or work pants and add a pop of color in the accessories.
three: another sweater I would love to see paired with some serious flare denim.
four: your cozy leggings for a casual day and faux leather leggings for a low-key winter night out.
Fair Isle Sweaters
one: pair with bootcut denim, booties and a vest.
two: throw on over your plum jeggings and add a trench coat for brisk temps.
three: this cream fair isle can dress up in a statement skirt or dress down with faux leather leggings.
four: pull out the black denim [or velvet if you’re fancy] and fake diamond studs for this casual sweater.
one: pair with a dark pair of flared denim and a fun statement earring.
two: pair with high waist leggings and cozy booties.
three: tuck into an A-line skirt and knee-high boots for a quick and easy date night look.
four: pair with your favorite pair of skinny jeans. This casual look can take you from holiday shopping at the mall to dinner with your family.
It’s the Holiday Season
