It’s been a while since a multi-wear look has appeared on the blog and this Express Floral Dress is just the piece to bring it back. I snagged this floral frock in early October and the price as of now is $41.40. That’s too good to pass up so let me show you a few ways to rock it this fall.
I’m So Fancy, You Already Know
Bringing on the black beads with this look to level up the fancy factor. I am pairing the red and black floral frill seeker with an oldie but
Another tried and true accessory I am featuring with this look is my earrings. When in accessory doubt can never go wrong with a beaded drop or statement earring. I am linking a few similar finds in the widget below. If you receive my blogs posts via email, ya gotta head to the blog to view the shoppable widget. It’s worth it, I promise.
Speaking of things that are old and faithful, I purchased this
My favorite part of this look is the black block suede pumps. I scored these Jessica Simpson heels at Dillard’s in August for $32 and they are dreamy. Y’all know I love a clearance find and these are one of my best scores as of late. With a deal that good, you know they flew off the rack so I am linking up more similar [and practical heel height] options below.

Cold, Cozy + Casual
If you’re like my mom, you probably think I am crazy to suggest bare legs outside of 65-degree temps, but that must be the millennial in me. I am dressing it all down several notches with the addition of some booties, a blanket scarf and one of my favorites for fall, a denim jacket.
Accessories first. I threw on my blanket scarf from the Target Dollar Spot which is fabric enough to keep myself and another human warm. Do you know how to wrap a blanket scarf?
The simplest way is to fold it in half [triangle] and wrap the two ends around the back of your neck. Tuck the “arms” of the scarf under the triangle portion and voila. You won’t be able to move or breathe but you’ll look just darling.
It’s hard to tell in the photos but my ears are repping my alma mater. I always have room in my accessory collection for Kentucky Blue and pairing it with red and black just felt appropriate. I may live in Cardinal city, but my heart belongs to the Big Blue Nation.
I added a little loving to my legs with some cozy cable knit socks tucked right into my super casual suede dark grey booties. This look can absolutely withstand the addition of leggings or opaque tights so don’t be afraid to add on if the weather permits.

Wanna Know A Secret?
This dress is so nice, I bought it twice. It comes in the most delicious fall colors of blue, plum, and marigold and I could not resist it’s flirty little frill.
I am wearing an XS in both of the dresses and wish I would have bought a small instead. The dress does tend to ride up and it’s already a short enough for this thirty-something mama of three.
Among a ton of other option at Express, yes it’s still open for business, a similar dress is available in a long sleeve format as well.
The holidays are literally right around the corner. It’s kind of crazy to believe, but we are booked every weekend until Christmas. On one hand, the social butterfly in me lives for this, but also I’d really like for time to just pause. My baby [the oldest] lost another tooth last night while my actual baby just graduated from his highchair to the real table. What is motherhood? It’s so hard and long some days, but also too quick all at once.
I’m debating taking a step back from my posting frequency over the holiday season from three days to two. I keep telling myself to go for it, I am the boss after all. However, my passion for this creative space keeps fueling the fire. That being said, if I miss a Monday here and there, you can always catch up with me on Instagram or Facebook.
There are only 10 Mondays left in 2018. What will you do to make them count?
Thanks so much for reading. I’ll see ya back here Wednesday!
