Top 10 Statement Earrings for Summer 2018
If y’all have been following along, you know I love a good statement piece. More often than not, I find myself picking out big, ol baubles to hang on my tender little earlobes. It’s always a risk for a mama to wear a dangle [you know, grabby baby hands and all], but these 10 earrings make it worthwhile.
One
Would you believe these Boho Tassel Earrings are under $10? Not only are they the most affordable accessory you will own, but you can choose from over 10 different colors and bead stud combinations. ‘Scuse me while I add to my cart.
Two
Let’s get nautical, nautical. I wanna get nautical. Oh my goodness, dress me in prep from head to toe and pin these baubles on my earlobes. The tassel and ball earrings are under $10. Aside from being downright delightful, they come in three [3!] other colors. Is it greedy to snag them all? Oh what the hell, YOLO.
Three
I love when unsuspecting materials make an appearance in the fashion world. These wood and wicker earrings are giving your back deck a run for its money. Wouldn’t this be the perfect statement to a rather basic white top and denim look?
Four
Y’all, some earrings have all the fun. These pom-beaded dangles have the good times locked and loaded. I just cannot with the bold colors and texture explosion. In the words of Aziz Ansari, “like it, love it, gotta have it.”
Five
I’m still all hot and bothered from the earrings above. In stark contrast, I offer these simple gold hoops. As long as J.Lo is on the block, oversize gold hoops will forever carry the wow effect. Your love might not cost a thing, but these are a whopping $10.

It was either Madewell or J. Crew who started the “excessive fringe from simple gold disc” earring trend. Luckily, Target with their house brand Universal Thread plus several other retailers have knocked off this design. I have a pair in fuchsia and they totally level up the #ootd. This navy pair [above] is from Forever 21 and can be yours for a total of $6.90. Not quite the Madewell price tag, am I right?

Y’all were loving my earrings from Friday’s post. Unfortunately, this is the first time I have not been able to recall where I purchased an item. They are so old [and heavy!]. I spent all weekend searching for the best similar options to link up. These Express turquoise gems hit closest to home. Honestly, is it even summer if you don’t rock some turq?

Earlier this spring, Sugarfix by Bauble Bar [sold at Target] released a more understated [and less expensive] version of this Flamingo earring. The real flamingo bauble can flamenco it’s way right into your jewelry armoire before any one else. It’s available for pre-sale and is expected to ship by the end of July. Bauble Bar never lets down when it comes to packing the biggest punch in jewelry.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane! No, its the season’s most basic print from the most basic retailer. Call me basic, but palm leaves, I’m here for you. I live for a palm print dress, a palm print romper, and these gold palm leaves bring me to higher ground.

Surely one cannot discuss statement earrings and not include the most notable and subtle statement of them all. I’m talking about the stone & filigree drop earrings from Kendra Scott. Imma do you one better though. This pair is a dupe, from Amazon [gitchu that prime shipping!], and under $12. I’m a sucker for pale pinks and blush tones this summer, but if that’s not your jam, you’re in luck! These come in several stone color options.
