Last year at this time, my former college roommate and good friend was in need of some wedding invitations for her July nuptials. She didn’t feel comfortable making changes or suggestions to the person that was originally booked for the job, so she came to me! I’m so glad she did because it opened my eyes to a whole new world of creativity and design.
Her colors were black, white and peridot (a shade that we could never seem to pin down perfectly!) and she wanted something simple and classic, which describes her style to a T! Based on some samples she sent me, we came up with this invitation design.
Lindsey was planning her Columbus wedding from Washington DC. I believe the time allotted to cut and assemble the program fans was minimal so they opted for a front to back print job and scratched the stick, rounded edges and ribbon for the actual ceremony. Lindsey had them printed at Kinkos and the cost was roughly $100.
But I sent her this one as a surprise and she ended up choosing the “Practice Makes Perfect” invitation instead. I love them both equally!
We’ve come a long way from drinking Franzia after class and Turbo Jamming in our apartment family room! I am so grateful to Lindsey for trusting me enough with something as important as wedding invitations and programs. She is a true proponent of my business and has always been a Polka Dot Cheeks supporter! Congratulations to Lindsey and Anton on their Happily Ever After!
