Noah’s vintage-y, sports themed bedroom was in desperate need of a full size headboard. Before the room switch, we were using a piece of his convertible crib as the headboard, but with a baby on the way, we needed that piece back for the crib. In an effort to save money, I found some headboard inspiration on Pinterest. Taylor was in the throws of my dresser remodel, so I decided to keep this project simple!
We bought 7 1x6x6 common board wood for the headboard portion and 2 1x4x6 boards for the legs from Home Depot. Taylor attached strips of 1 x 4 boards to the back of the headboard to prevent warping or caving. He also countersunk the screws and I used Plastic Wood to fill said holes to provide a smooth, even surface for staining.
