I have only been sold on three products in my life:
I am not easily swayed into pricier products or direct sales gimmicks. I’m a clearance rack girl in a full retail price world and I am telling you, from my own experience, Norwex is a game changer.
These two little cloths are a cleaning game changer!
The first time I heard of Norwex was November 2015. Just days before Thanksgiving, my sister who was in town from DC and my mom were heading to my aunt’s house, on a Monday night, for a cleaning party. My reaction to this: “Say whaaaaat? Big sis is home, Thanksgiving is days away, and a full 8 hour day has been checked off the list and you are wasting precious wine time at a cleaning party?”
I have heard of Thirty-One parties, jewelry parties, purse parties, and, of course, the infamous Tupperware parties, but a cleaning party…never. When they got back from the party and told me about the amount of money they dropped on cleaning supplies [could anything sound less fun?], I knew I had to get my hands on this EnviroCloth.
My mom hosted a Norwex party at the end of January. I was unable to attend [and up until a few weeks ago had not seen one demonstration by a sales consultant] but luckily, my mom ordered me an EnviroCloth and a Window Cloth, per my request. In addition to that, she added the Blue Diamond and Bath Scrub Mitt because well, she’s seen my shower. When the products came in, I was ecstatic to get to work. I intentionally had not cleaned my bathroom [and possibly my whole house] in weeks [let’s not get carried away on the number of weeks…okay, it was 6] and it was finally time to put Norwex to the test.
In the 4 years that we have lived in our house, our shower has not been soap scum free and the shower door has clung tightly to its soapy residue. I started with just a damp EnviroCloth [a rookie move] and scrubbed on half of the shower floor. The black soap scum was definitely lifting, but not without a lot of muscle behind it, however, I would estimate that I use just as much muscle when scrubbing with Soft Scrub or Comet.
After giving the damp EnviroCloth an A for effort, I brought out the big guns: the Bathroom Scrub Mitt & Blue Diamond. I squirted a splash of Blue Diamond on the shower floor and with the slightest amount of effort, I wiped the floor and in 1 minute and 15 seconds, it sparkled. If Norwex is a drug, this is where my addiction started.
I rinsed my mitt, took a step back and looked at my shower door. Without hesitation, I attacked it, scrubbing first on the inside and then on the outside. I flipped the mitt and wiped down with the soft side and holy sh*t that door was crystal clear for the first time ever.
Like a crazy woman, I started attacking all of our homes problem areas. I took a semi-damp EnivoCloth to my stove, the microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven [all Stainless Steel] and damn if they weren’t clean and streak-free. I moved over to the windows where my dog and daughter tend to leave a trail of snotty and sticky residue behind. Wipe, polish, streak free. Repeat. If I said “Taylor, look at this…with just water and this cloth!” once, I said it 100 times. I was SOLD. Sold, Sold, Sold. Sold on the product and now I’m sold on sharing it because it’s simply amazing.
I am a wife and mother of two with a 9 to 5 job outside of the home Monday – Friday, an Etsy business when time permits, a blog to write and other blogs to contribute to and a workout regime that I won’t compromise in exchange for a clean house. It is nearly impossible to find time to fit in a cleaning day once a week or even once every two weeks. The thought of lugging around all the products necessary for each room’s specific needs is always enough to make me procrastinate all cleaning chores for as long as possible. I was averaging once a month and even then it was a minimal clean sweep [for example, wiping visible dust with the bottom of my t-shirt]. That all changed the day I opened my Norwex EnviroCloth and cleaned my ENTIRE kitchen while my kids ate their breakfast.
My pre-Norwex cleaning arsenal
Norwex has introduced me to a whole new world. One where I don’t have to dread the day I am forced to finally endure an all day cleaning marathon. One where I don’t have to instruct my husband which products should be used where and to their best ability. One where dust does not fly back in my face leaving me in a fit of sneezes. One where I can feel, for even a brief moment, like maybe I can do it all.
If you are ready to say to hell with half ass cleaning products that take up valuable space in your cupboards and steal valuable dollars from your wallet, let’s talk. If you’re ready to say goodbye to the dreaded cleaning day, let’s talk. If you’re ready to remove the toxic chemicals from the surfaces you prepare your children’s food on and clean their toys with, let’s talk.
Stay tuned for more before and after pictures as I dive deeper into the world of green clean with Norwex. For more information on Norwex and the products, they offer [because I’ve barely scraped the surface] or if you would like to host and/or attend a party, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, I would be happy to change your life too.
