It has occurred to me that I shared details and décor for Noah’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” nursery, but never actually revealed the room itself. The room has not only changed physical addresses, but also occupants. Although Aria herself does not suffer from “Second Child Syndrome” (ok, sometimes it applies to her), her room surely has. It has taken me 4+ months to motivate myself to update the frames and hang few personalized touches. That’s pretty sad considering the major makeover the rest of the house has been undergoing since her birth.
We moved to Louisville in October of 2011 and I spent at least a few days a week working on Noah’s nursery. January of 2012, weeks before his arrival, I suggested to Taylor that we paint his room. Mind you…this was a RENTAL. Oy, when we moved out that following September, I cursed myself up one side and down the other, but the day I finally pulled the room together I was so happy for the cheerful lime green walls (I’ve made some questionable paint color choices in my life as you will come to find out…).
And she knows her big girl room is going to kick ass! [I’d better start saving now!]
Next week, I will have a transformed kids’ bathroom to show you! Hint: it was inspired by the Very Hungry Caterpillar nursery…
