It’s been all quiet on the blog front for the past few weeks as I am adjusting to a new normal: the life of a working mom. The interview and start date came about within days of each other and I don’t think even now, on week 3, that I have fully processed it. Although, these pictures were taken after our first day [mine at work and the kids at daycare], this is the gist of how we spend our nights now.
I’m still trying to find the balance and time for everything extra like exercising, Polka Dot Cheeks, blogging, and relaxing, so bear with me while we all adjust to mama bringing home some bacon [okay, more like bacon bits].
In the mean time, I never shared my end of August/beginning of September post from Skinny Mom which was all about winning the head game when it comes to exercising. Just like the Little Engine that Could, if you keep telling yourself you are going to work out, you will work out. Now that I’m a 9-5’er, winning the head game of motivation is even more important because there isn’t an “I’ll do it later” option for me to tango with. It’s now or tomorrow [which might as well be never].
Check out the 5 ways I trick myself into getting on the treadmill, hitting the pavement, or coming to my mat each day. I swear I will find a 5 step process to motivate myself to blog.
