It’s Monday and for many people across the world, it’s the first day of a diet or workout regimen. Monday mornings can often be riddled with promises like eating healthy, counting calories and lowering the carbs. The road to fitness is laid with the best intentions and then Rachel from accounting brings in the first popcorn trio tin of the season.
We all get off track. I am greeting this Monday morning full of bloat from a wedding buffet, drinks on drinks, and my favorite, wedding cake.
Today I am sharing the exact Shakeology recipe I will be whipping up at lunch to hop right back on track with my fitness goals.
What Is Shakeology?
Shakeology is a nutrient-dense shake [not technically a meal replacement] from Beachbody. It may seem like you can’t have one without the other, but that’s not true for me. I started drinking Shakeology at 8 weeks postpartum and I haven’t stopped since. Here’s why:
- It contains proteins and fiber to reduce hunger and ward off cravings.
- Antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals which assists in supporting a healthy immune system.
- Adaptogen herbs which have been known to help your body adapt and respond to stress.
- Prebiotics, probiotics, digestive enzymes, and fiber which helps our body absorb nutrients stay regular and digest all the indulgences we’ll encounter this holiday season.
Plus it’s the one thing I can count on every day to fuel my body properly. I know this nutrient-dense shake will quickly squash my hanger and set me up for success when the 3 p.m. cravings roll around.
Chocolate Shakeology Recipe
1 Scoop Chocolate Shakeology
1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
8-10 oz of Water
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

The holiday season is full of indulgences, treat yo’self mentalities, and when January 1st rolls around, it’s no surprise our credit card statement isn’t the only thing flashing a higher number.
Just because I have a credit card doesn’t mean I need to buy everything I want. The same is true for my body. Just because I can eat it, doesn’t mean I should.
