Multi-Wear Pt I:
H&M Skirt
A 90’s Revival Skirt
Do you know what I absolutely love about blogging? The ability to engage with viewers, readers, followers, etc. Yesterday, on Instagram stories, I asked YOU how you wanted today’s Multi-Wear Monday rolled out: all at once or a little now and a little later.
Based on the poll, I am rolling out Part I of the multiple ways to style this H&M burnt orange skirt from summer to fall. I am SO excited because this skirt is one of my favorite pieces. It brings me right back to the times I would sneak in my sister’s closet and try on her Abercrombie and Fitch clothes. I was 12 going on 90210 – “the college years”. While my age still seems to miss the mark, I am living for these 90 fashion revivals.
Look One: End of Summer

The Details
Denim Vest: J. Crew Factory [Similar] // Tee: Target // Skirt: H&M
Shoes: DSW // Necklace: Sugarfix by Bauble Bar [Similar]
Bracelet: Boutique [similar]
Tell me you’ve bought a denim vest by now. If it’s sticker shock, rest assured, you will use it multiple times. Cost per wear is often overlooked but a key part of a shopping budget. Jeans, nude shoes, a quality handbag – all things that break down the cost considerably once you factor in the CPW.
Aside from the feature skirt, tell the pieces in this look have appeared on the blog multiple times this summer. The statement tee appeared on OLL earlier this month in another multi-wear series and I can’t get enough of these Rock & Candy sandals with fringe zip.
Look Two: Early Fall

The Details
Sweater: Nordstrom // Tee: Target // Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Nordstrom [Similar]/ Necklace: Sugarfix by Bauble Bar [Similar]
Bracelet: Boutique [similar]
The burnt orange and mustard are two of fall colors that beg to be paired together. Adding the cocoon sweater gives this look a cozy vibe and functionality for the cooler mornings and evenings during early fall. The statement tee keeps the look bright while preventing it all from appearing overly-fall-ish during that notorious mid-September heat wave. You know the one, it hits right after you’ve packed and stored all your summer items.
I’ve had these BP boots for 7 years, back when cognac riding boots were all the rage. I bought them during a winter sale at Nordstrom for $98 and they’ve held up incredibly well. Sadly, they don’t make ’em like they used to. If you can’t live without the ones above, Poshmark is the perfect place to score.
More Multi-Wear On The Way
These two looks will be enough to transition this $25 skirt from today through mid/late September so grab the skirt while it’s still in stock. I have two more ways to style it on the way and you won’t want to miss out. I recommend sizing up in the skirt, sizing down in the tee and wearing your regular size in the sweater and vest.
For more Ooh La Laura, head over to Instagram and peep the stories saved in Highlights on my profile. I did a fun Dressing Room Diaries at Loft over the weekend and talked more about Cost Per Wear pieces.
Happy Monday, friends! Go Get ‘Em!
