You Can Dress it Up or You Can Dress it Down
I picked up this Little Black Body Con Dress during my major H&M haul a few weeks ago. This great basic piece is available in black, grey, khaki green and orange. Today I am styling it three ways which basically makes this 12.99 LBD cost per wear roughly $4.

I love this little get up and go look. It is an effortless look that can take you from carpool drop off, through a day of errands or work. Throw on the perfect chambray shirt for those chilly indoor a/c conditions and wrap it around your waist when you step into the 96% humidity [is that just Louisville?].
The structured handbag from Target is going to be my new fall/winter handbag. It’s pebble detail and bronze hardware give it a little pizazz while the price point keeps it stylish under budget. I think it would also be a stunning accessory to an all winter-white ensemble. I get cozy + chic just thinking of it!

Does this neckerchief make me look like a flight attendant? If so, now boarding to a new accessory crush. My mom was the queen of scarves in the 90s. This woman can braid, knot, wrap, and rock a scarf like nobody’s business so I can only imagine how happy she’ll be to break her silks back out. In case you tossed yours during Y2K or have yet to inherit a hand-me-down collection [like me], I am linking several affordable options below.
How I wish you could snag this oversized black tote still. I talked about how I scored the bag for $10 during a mommy-and-me shopping spree a few weeks ago. I am linking similar styles below, but if you’re deadset on a deal, keep checking the H&M store.

Sometimes the simplest things pack the biggest statement. I love statement accessories like the necklace featured in the photos above. I tend to buy most of my baubles from SugarFix by Baublebar at Target. Can we just take a moment to love on Target? How lucky are we to live in a world where you can buy home goods, toys, coffee, groceries, clothes and jewelry all between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. It’s bananas. Whoever set these store hours was clearly a mom with child-free shopping on her vision board.
But, I digress. Aside from the bodycon dress itself, this whole look is head-to-toe Tar-jay. Whether killing time before preschool pick-up, pushing a cart full of your brood or just popping in for juuuust one thing, be sure to check the accessories section. It’s the real MVP.
Ready to show Monday who’s the boss? I’m gonna need one more cup of coffee first, but then I’ll be all “let’s do this.” What are your big plans for the week ahead? We are sending our first baby to first grade on Wednesday so I’m throwing on the mom hat to send summer out with a bang!
Thank you for reading and showing up in comments, DMs and on social media. I’m nearing the three-month mark of dedicated blogging and it’s been so much fun engaging, creating and making new friends. See you back here on Wednesday and every day on Instagram.
